Heather J. Priest, 45, of Emporium, passed away Tuesday morning, July 7, 2026, at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh. With her loving family by her side. She was Born August 1, 1980, in Coudersport, she was the daughter of Deborah Wilson Priest of Emporium and the late Michael Priest.
Heather was a 1999 graduate of Cameron County High School. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Clarion University and later received her master's degree from Ashford University.
Heather was employed by Northern Tier as a Pre-K Teacher's Assistant. She truly loved working with children and found great joy in helping them learn and grow. Her greatest love, however, was her son, Devin. Being his mother was the most important role in her life, and she took immense pride in all of his accomplishments. Her love, encouragement, and devotion to him were unwavering.
In addition to her mother, Deborah Priest of Emporium, Heather is survived by her beloved son, Devin Priest of Emporium; her grandson, James Doud; and her sister, Carey Pifer and her husband, Josh, of Austin.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Priest; her aunt, Sunni Priest; and her cousin, Samantha Ludwig.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Barnett Funeral Home, 207 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA 15834, to assist the family with final expenses.
