Charles H. Huggler, Jr.

 

Charles H. Huggler, Jr., age 71, of 438 Ulster Ave., Ridgway, died Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor in Brookville. He was born November 27, 1949, in Ridgway, son of the late Charles H. and Norma Jean (Luchs) Huggler, Sr. He married Roxane L. Nero on June 28, 1974, she survives. He resided in Ridgway all his life and was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, the American Legion, and the Ridgway Fire Dept.- Montmorenci. Charlie enjoyed hunting, Penn State and Steeler Football, and spending time with his family. He coached Ridgway Rocket Football, Ridgway Little League Baseball and Softball, and he loved watching his kids play High School sports. He was a 1967 graduate of Ridgway High School and attended Williamsport Community College. He had been employed by Metaldyne for 21 years.

He is survived by his wife Roxane L. Huggler of Ridgway; 2 daughters: Nicole R. (Tim Hasselman) Huggler of Emporium and Tonya L. (Jeremy Shuttlesworth) Wolfe of Ridgway; 1 son Shawn C. (Leah) Huggler of Ridgway; 10 grandchildren: Tim Hasselman, Jr, Ed Hasselman, Ava Hasselman, Sofia Hasselman, Melaina Wolfe, Zander Shuttlesworth, Lyra Shuttlesworth, Larita Shuttlesworth, Taylor Frantz, and Tristen Huggler; 1 sister Carol (Gordon) Reiter of Kersey; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Robert Huggler, and his mother-in-law Edna Mae Nero.

A Memorial Service for Charles H. Huggler, Jr. will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 11:00 AM. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor Alzheimers and Dementia Unit, 417 PA 28, Brookville, PA. 15825 or to Alzheimers Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave 16th Floor, New York, NY. 10001.
