Cameron County Car Show Held
Car enthusiasts did not let rain, falling temperatures and wind keep them from showing off their vehicles. The event held in conjunction with the Sinnemahone Ultra Trail Run featured a power wheels demolition derby which drew competitors from Oil City and unique contests to show off stereos and exhausts.
Music for the event was canceled when winds tore apart the canopy on the stage, but that was the only cancelation for the day. Organizers are ready to host the summer show during Weekend in the Wilds Friday July 1 including the power wheel demolition derby.
Winners Saturday included a husband and wife team. Mike Travis won the loud and proud stereo competition, while wife Juneann took home the trophy in the 1980-present Jeep class. The loudest exhaust which shook windows was Andy Marvin. Best of show went to Daryl Richardson.
Richardson took home the trophy in the 1955-1963 class. Other winners included:
1964-1968 Jimmy Singer
1969-1973 Bill Bailey
1974-1987 Kevin Major
1988-1999 Bunny McLean
2000-present Molly Gnan
Special Interest Andy Marvin
Competitors received dash plaques and goodie bags.
