Guy and Mary Felt Manor Visitation Update

Guy and Mary Felt Manor

Guy and Mary Felt Manor is pleased to announce starting Wednesday 9/29/21, we will permit limited indoor/outdoor nursing home visitations. At this time, the Facility has conducted the mandatory testing requirements and all staff and residents are negative. Mandated testing continues based on the Community transmission rate. Currently Cameron County’s community transmission rate is high.

For indoor and outdoor (weather permitting) visits, the following guidelines will be followed:
1. Visitation will be planned and scheduled in advance. Hours of visitation will be Monday thru Friday 1:00-6:00pm and Weekend visitations will be 1:00-4:00pm.
 2. Please call Shelley Carlson 814-486-4830 M-F to schedule a visit.
 3. Visitors will be limited to 2 visitors for 1/2hr.
 4. Visitors will be actively screened prior to visit. If visitor has a fever, symptoms of COVID-19, confirmed COVID-19 test or exposure in the past 14 days, visitation will be denied. No exceptions.
5. Visitor will perform hand hygiene.
 6. Visitor will wear face covering above nose.
7. Visitor must remain in designated visiting area at all times and observe social/physical distancing.
8. Visitors, who are unable to adhere to the core principles of COVID-19 infection prevention, will not be permitted to visit and asked to leave.

At any time the facility would identify a new case of COVID-19 among residents or staff, the facility will immediately begin outbreak testing and suspend all visitations. Compassionate care visits are allowed at all times. Compassionate care visitation can include family, clergy, religious or other representatives identified to provide emotional or physical support to the resident.

Felt Manor continues to offer zoom visits with your loved one also. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Felt Manor has focused on protecting our nursing home residents and staff however; we recognize that physical separation from family and loved ones takes a physical and emotional toll on our residents and their loved ones. Therefore, we have tried to provide a safe and organized process to allow in-person visitations consistent with COVID-19 prevention guidelines and minimize transmission of infection.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Michele Greenthaner, Infection Preventionist at extension 235.
