Community Education Center
Today our Leadership group will be learning about Economic Development and Tourism in Cameron County. The day started with a presentation and tour at Embassy Powdered Metals. Check back to see where we go next!
LEC group then traveled to Emporium Hardwoods. We learned about the processes from log to lumber.
We then ventured to Sarah Jane’s. She shared her story on how she got to Cameron County and that she has passion of art to opening the gallery. We then ate lunch that was catered by Uptown Girls and Emporium Freeze Dried sponsored by Emporium Hardwoods. Then we had a presentation from Rowan from the Lumber Heritage and Ashley from PA Wilds. We talked about conservation and tourism.
To end the day we had a walking tour of Cameron County we visited the courthouse, Cameron County Chamber, which houses the Career Link, and NPRC, then we walke
