Medicare Payment Freeze Impacting Local Ambulance Services
The current Medicare payment freeze is affecting Cameron County Ambulance Service, as well as other ambulance services in our region. This freeze limits reimbursement for the emergency medical care we provide every day, making it increasingly difficult for small, rural EMS agencies to cover rising costs and continue operating effectively.
We want our community to understand that this issue impacts not just CCAS, but all local ambulance services that respond to your calls for help. Despite these challenges, we remain dedicated to providing the highest level of care to the residents of Cameron County and surrounding areas.
