Dennis “Denny” Dillon

Dennis “Denny” Dillon, 63, of Emporium, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday July 30 2026.

Denny was born in Indiana, PA on July 2, 1963 to Marion "Cindy" (Foltz) Swank and the late James Dillon. He graduated from Cameron County High School in the class of 1982, and later Stevenson Trade School. Denny served in the Navy during Desert Storm and was deployed around the world doing tours in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific during his time of service. He returned back to Cameron County and was married to Mary "Mert" Dillon on May 5, 1990 for 33 years before her passing in 2023.

For years Denny worked with his brother - Ed's Drywall, until the 2000's when he then worked for DCNR and PennDOT before his retirement in 2023. He was a devoted father, grandfather and partner. He loved to work with his hands, doing carpentry, mechanics or making fishing lures. He loved the outdoors and being on the water, most often with at least one fishing pole in his sights or out on a boat. He always was joking around, laughing, and making people have a good time. He was the family goofball and will be greatly missed.

Denny is survived by his daughters, Justine (Kristine) Dillon-Hughes and granddaughter Harper, of Jamestown, NY and Denise (Erica) Dillon, and granddaughter, Annalise of Staunton, VA, his Girlfriend Jodi Regulski of St. Marys, Sisters Donna "Dee" (Burt) Crowell, Laurel (John) Coppock of Emporium, brother Ed (Rhonda) Dillon of St. Mary's, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

In addition to his late wife, he was proceeded in death by his father James Dillon and stepfather Gene Swank.

The family will receive friends at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. 4th St., Emporium on Tuesday (August 4, 2026) from 11 AM-12 PM followed by a military service accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail.

Dennys ashes will be spread at the discretion of the family at a later date.
