Lyndon D. "Lynn" Stickles, 82, of Penn Yan, New York passed away at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, New York on Thursday (May 8, 2025). He was born August 25, 1942 in Rochester, New York a son of the late J. Victor and Esther Claussen Stickles. On 07/02/94, in Penn Yan, NY he married Gina Zito, who survives.
Lynn graduated from Franklin High School and then graduated from RIT school of Engineering. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Gleason Works from which he retired after 40 plus years of employment. Lynn worked for several years at Pennsylvania Pressed Metals in Emporium, PA during his first retirement from Gleason Works.
Lynn had a lifelong passion for cars, motorcycles and boats; and was known for his love of speed, the faster the better! His favorite hobby was to find old cars and rebuild them, most notably his Model T Roadster, Barracuda and multiple Corvettes. You will never find a more knowledgeable car lover!
Family was everything to Lynn; gathering at Keuka Lake was a favorite family pastime. He led a very active lifestyle and had a passion for animals, his dogs were always part of his life.
Lynn is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Gina Zito; his devoted fur baby Pepper, daughter, Kimarie Case (John Jaeger); son, Kevin Stickles (Jennifer); and daughter, Kristine Rodriguez (John Bates) along with 4 grandchildren: Flora, Eric, Marisol, Emma, and; 1 great grandson, Mateo; and a sister, Dawn Ellmaker (Walt), Syracuse, NY.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Stickles.
There will be No Visitation. Services will be announced at a later date.
Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA
