Cameron County Farmers Market
Calling all gardeners—beginners to seasoned pros!
Stop by and see Yelena Kisler, Head Librarian at the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library, at the first two Cameron County Farmers Markets of the season!
She’ll be showcasing the library’s Seed Library—a treasure trove for anyone ready to get their hands dirty and grow something beautiful (or delicious!). You’ll find heirloom, non-GMO seeds for both veggies and ornamentals, with no library card required and no seeds older than 3 years. The majority come from the amazing non-profit Seed Savers Exchange, with some donated locally.
Need help getting started? Yelena’s got you covered with a binder full of growing instructions—and even more resources online, like how to save seeds, plan your garden, and a printable garden journal. Check it all out here: https://barbaramoscatobrownlibrary.org/seed-library/
Got heirloom, non-GMO seeds to share? Donations are always welcome!
Come chat seeds, swap tips, and get growing—see you this Saturday, May 10, 9am to 12pm at the Emporium Town Square!
