CC Farmers Market Introduces Shawn Lewis

Cameron County Farmers Market
Introducing another new vendor for the season — Shawn Lewis!
Shawn is breathing new life into a piece of local history — the former Lewis & Hockenberry sawmill and woodworking factory, an old family-run business nestled along the banks of Clear Creek. Once a bustling factory known for crafting fine furniture, the site had been dormant for years — until Shawn stepped in.

With a deep respect for the craftsmanship and character of the old mill, Shawn has been painstakingly cleaning up, salvaging, and restoring the space. His mission? To preserve its legacy while giving new purpose to the remarkable materials and equipment found there.

This Saturday, Shawn will be bringing a curated collection of reclaimed and salvaged items straight from the sawmill to the market. Whether you’re a woodworker, DIY enthusiast, antique collector, or just someone who appreciates quality materials and unique finds, you’re going to want to stop by and take a look!

Here’s a peek at what he’s offering:
 • Oak and cherry wood slabs – perfect for furniture-making, countertops, or statement shelves
 • Wooden dowels – sturdy and versatile for all sorts of woodworking projects
 • A massive white pine trunk – ideal for a chainsaw carving masterpiece
 • Handcrafted cutting boards – made with care from locally sourced wood
 • A vintage 1980s John Deere 110 tractor and trailer – a collectible piece of equipment with charm and function
 • A classic 1963 International Cub Cadet lawnmower – full of character and ready for restoration or display

Come meet Shawn this Saturday, May 10th, from 9am to 12pm at Emporium Town Square!
Help support local restoration efforts and maybe even find the perfect piece for your next project.
