"The Book of the McNuff " by the Cameron County Historical Society

Yes, that is right we are on our 4th printing because of the high demand and requests for this amazing true story dating back to 1919 when two friends arriving by train in Cameron County from Harrisburg with the intention of doing some hunting.
These World War I veterans were so enchanted with the area that they formed a group of men and started a camp known as "McNuff Camp 13-C-6" on the McNuff branch of Hunts Run.
We've all used the term "Going to Camp" which has many meanings and this McNuff book tells it best from the author Albert Wenrick from the except of a poem he wrote:Deep in these hills, where the Peace of GodDwelt in a glen were few men had trod; The air was so pure, so filled with woods spice, In the heart of a hunter, t'was his Paradise!

This book describes the experiences of the group of men and their interactions with the wilds, locals and each other on their lifetime journeys to their old friend - "McNuff Camp"

What is amazing about this book is that it covers 50 years the camp was in its existence. When the evolution of hunting evolved from hunt birds and small game after our forest had been destroyed by the lumber barons' and brings you to the present of hunting all kinds of wildlife back into existence today.

The book is available for $25.***
