Great news!
A half dozen communities in the 67th District were collectively awarded $2.2 million in state grants earlier today.
The projects are funded through two grant programs: the Multimodal Transportation Fund and the Small Sewer and Water Grant Program.
The multimodal grants were awarded as follows:
➡️Austin Borough: $500,000 toward repair work on the Garretson Street Bridge and replacement of the Horn Hollow Road Bridge.
➡️Otto Township: $600,000 toward replacement of the Brooklyn Street and Berger Hollow bridges.
The water and sewer grants were awarded as follows:
➡️Mid-Cameron Authority: $179,856 for sanitary sewer system improvements and $146,257 for water system improvements. The work is being done in conjunction with resurfacing a portion of Route 120 in Emporium Borough.
➡️Borough of Smethport Authority: $349,962 to replace water mains and install valves, hydrants and reconnections in the borough to improve water quality and fire protection, as well as lower repair and chemical costs.
➡️Coudersport Borough Authority: $260,300 to replace 650 linear feet of water line on Anchor Toy Lane in the borough.
➡️Bradford City Water Authority: $173,743 to extend public water along Bolivar Drive and Long Lane in Foster Township.
