⚠️ Impending Winter Storm – Cameron County and Surrounding Areas ⚠️
The National Weather Service is forecasting a significant winter storm for Cameron County and surrounding areas, expected to begin Saturday evening and continue through Monday afternoon. The storm may bring heavy snowfall, icy road conditions, gusty winds, and reduced visibility, making travel hazardous.
Cameron County Ambulance Service (CCAS) has additional crews on standby and resources in place to ensure we are prepared to respond throughout the storm.
⚠️ Please be aware: For the safety of our patients, staff, and the public, ambulance response times may be longer than usual due to dangerous road conditions.
Our crews will operate with extreme caution to safely reach those in need.
Safety Reminders:
• Avoid unnecessary travel once the storm begins
• If travel is unavoidable, allow extra time and drive slowly
• Charge cell phones and medical devices ahead of time
• Keep vehicles fueled and stocked with emergency supplies
• Check on elderly neighbors and those with medical needs
• Use caution when shoveling snow to avoid injury
