Darlene Reickerd, 70, of Emporium, Pennsylvania, passed away at her residence on Friday night, January 16, 2026, following a brief illness with cancer.
She was born on November 29, 1955, in Jonesboro, Georgia, a daughter of the late Wiley and Laura Swafford Hunt. On May 13, 1978, in Buffalo, New York, she married James “Rick” Reickerd, who survives.
Darlene was a member of the Piedmont Club in Johnsonburg, the Emporium Vets Club, and the Christabelle Club in Emporium. She enjoyed fishing and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Edward Robinson (Danielle) of Emporium; a son, Shane Robinson (Brandy) of Brookville; a daughter, Karen Snyder (Vincent) of Johnsonburg; a daughter, Tammy Banks (Tom Prosper) of Emporium; a daughter, Roxann Cokely (William) of Emporium; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Irene Lewis, and four sisters, Diane Kuc, Betty Clark, Lois Harringer, and Mary Ann Hunt.
The family will receive friends at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. 4th Street, Emporium, PA, on Saturday (January 31, 2026) from 2:00-3:00 PM
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Newton Cemetery, Emporium, Pennsylvania.
