We’re thrilled to welcome another brand new face to the market this year — a young local artisan with talent, heart, and creativity to spare!
Meet Kaylee McIsaac, a senior at Cameron County High School who’s diving into the world of handmade goods with her charming crochet creations. We absolutely love when young entrepreneurs join the market, and this talented crafter is off to a fantastic start!
Inspired by her grandmother who used to crochet cozy blankets, she began exploring the craft herself and now uses online patterns to bring her own pieces to life. Her specialty? Adorable animal figures that are sure to bring a smile to your face! An obvious animal lover, this young lady is lucky
enough to have 4 dogs and 2 cats, which made this visit an absolute dream for me!
also makes functional and practical items like baskets, coin bags, and coasters—each one made with care and creativity.
She’s dreaming bigger, too—with hopes to branch out into crocheted clothing in the future.
She’s already tried her hand at creating hats for her own cats which are too adorable for words!
But that’s not all—this young artisan is also a talented musician and will be performing at some of our markets this season. She plays saxophone, bassoon, flute, and drums, so whether she’s behind a booth or on stage, she’s bringing the talent!
Come support our local youth and check out her beautiful work at the Emporium Town Square on Saturday, May 10th from 9am to 12pm. You’ll be glad you did!
