Rotary News

 

Jim Zoschg, Jr. (right) was the guest speaker at the Rotary luncheon meeting November 17th, educating the club about several invasive plant species in Cameron County. Several local conservation organizations have partnered together to try and eliminate the main invasive plants in the county; Mile a Minute Vine, Japanese Stilt Grass, Japanese Knot Weed, along with a new invasive insect, the Spotted Lanternfly, which has the potential to be harmful to grapes, stone fruit, and trees. 
 It’s preferred tree is Tree of Heaven.
