Shippen Township Residents - Illegal Dumping and Trespassing Must Stop

ATTENTION SHIPPEN TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS
Illegal Dumping and Trespassing Must Stop
Shippen Township is experiencing a severe problem with individuals illegally entering Township property after hours. These individuals are trespassing and dumping entire truckloads of trash into our roll-off dumpster without paying.

 Official Office Hours
The Township property is only accessible during our normal operating hours:
Monday through Thursday - 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Closed Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays

The Future of the Roll-Off Dumpster is at Risk
If this abuse continues, the Township will be forced to remove the roll-off dumpster permanently.
If removed, residents will have to find alternative, costlier methods to dispose of extra trash and large bulk items.

Regular Trash Pick-Up is NOT Affected
Please note that this issue only affects the dumpster.
Your regular weekly curbside trash pick-up will remain exactly the same.
Regular service still includes:
Weekly pickup of up to three bags.
Bag sizes between 10 to 30 gallons.
Weight limit not to exceed 30 lbs. per bag.
Extra bags will be charged to your account at $1.50 per bag.

 Violators Will Be Prosecuted
The Township property is under constant video surveillance.
We are actively reviewing security camera footage.
Anyone caught trespassing or dumping illegally after hours will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Help us keep this service available for honest residents.
Report suspicious activity to the Township office at 814-486-0727, Ext 1.
