Richard A. Sarick, 81, of Emporium, PA, passed away at his residence on Tuesday afternoon, June 16, 2026.
Born August 8, 1944, in St. Marys, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Pirraglia) Sarick.
A lifelong resident of Emporium, Richard was known for his gentle nature, kind heart, and devotion to his family. He retired from the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library, where he worked for many years. Richard had a love for the arts and enjoyed expressing his creativity through various artistic interests.
Nothing brought Richard greater joy than spending time with his family. He especially cherished his nephews and took great pleasure in spoiling them throughout their lives. As the family grew, he extended that same love and affection to his great-nieces and great-nephews, creating lasting memories and special bonds that will be treasured for years to come.
Richard is survived by two nephews, David Farrah (Bobbie) and Joseph Farrah (Antonette); as well as his great-nieces and great-nephews, Erin, Matthew, Anthony and Elena whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carmela Ann (Sarick) Farrah, and her husband, Charles Farrah.
There will be no visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA, on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, serving as Celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA.
Richard’s family wishes to thank all those who offered friendship, kindness, and support throughout his life. His gentle spirit, generous heart, and love for family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
