Guided Tour of Bark Shanty CCC Camp Site

Volunteers of the PA Lumber Museum will lead a guided tour of the former Bark Shanty CCC Camp location. During the hour-long tour visitors will learn about the camp's history and the ongoing archeological project to unearth its remains.
This walk in the woods is generally flat but there are some elevation changes and rugged stone stairways. Appropriate footwear is recommended. Ticks will likely be present.
Participants should meet at the site, which is in Keating Township, Potter County at the intersection of Bark Shanty Road and Gaswell Road. The easiest access is from Route 872 to Bark Shanty Road.
Parking is available roadside on Gaswell Road about 100 yards south of the intersection with Bark Shanty Road.
