Cameron County Outdoor Youth Activities is proud to congratulate Cora Olay as the recipient of this year’s Camp Bighorn Scholarship.
This summer, Cora will travel to Dubois, Wyoming to spend an unforgettable week immersed in hands-on outdoor education and adventure. Camp Bighorn is known for providing young people with meaningful experiences that build confidence, conservation ethics, and lifelong outdoor skills.
During the weeklong program, Cora will participate in a wide range of activities including archery, kayaking, hiking, fly fishing, and the study of wild edible and medicinal plants through ethnobotany. These experiences are designed to connect youth with nature while teaching practical skills, stewardship, and personal growth.
Opportunities like this scholarship are made possible through the support of our community and the shared belief that investing in youth today builds the outdoor leaders of tomorrow. We are incredibly proud of Cora and can’t wait to hear about the knowledge, memories, and inspiration she brings home.
