Betty L. Franceus

Betty L. Franceus, 95, of Sinnemahoning, PA, formerly of New Jersey, passed away peacefully at her residence in Sinnemahoning on Wednesday morning (April 29, 2026) with her son Paul and daughter-in-law Leslie by her side.

She was born September 15, 1930, in Worcester, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Edward and Anita Miller Amlaw. On September 19, 1953, in Worcester, she married Ivan A. Franceus, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Franceus was a devoted member of St. Mark Catholic Church, where she shared her love of music as a choir member and cantor. She found joy in singing, including karaoke, and lived a quiet and gentle life, appreciating the simple pleasures and the time she spent surrounded by her family.

She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth (Mark) Daley of Connecticut, Juliette (Nick) Isanogle of Driftwood, and Mary Franceus of New Jersey; three sons, Paul (Leslie) Franceus of Sinnemahoning, Joseph (Lucy) Franceus of Basking Ridge, NJ, and Michael (Karie) Franceus of Richardson, TX; ten grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Hogan; two sons-in-law, Timothy Hogan and George Chipko; one brother, Robert Amlaw; and one sister, Jeanne Drake.

There will be no visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA, on Friday, (May 15, 2026) at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert as Celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium.
