Margaret I. Tauses, 100, of Emporium, PA passed away at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, PA on Friday night (August 23, 2024). She was born April 1, 1924 in Sykesville, PA a daughter of the late Patsy and Marie Christian Granater. On June 19, 1948 in Sykesville, PA she married the late Albert P. Tauses, Sr.
Mrs. Tauses graduated from Sykesville High School in the class of 1942. She worked at Sylvania for over 17 years. She was a member of the St. Mark Catholic Church where she volunteered, as a cook, in the kitchen for the funeral luncheons. She was also a member of the C. D. of A. for over 60 years and served as president for 12 years in the Rosary Society where she was a member also for over 60 years (in 2008). She was a Curcillo member since 1982 and also a member of the VFW Auxillary.
She is survived by a son, Albert Tauses, Jr. and his wife Anne Marie, Tuscon, AZ; two grandchildren, Adrienne Tauses and Joshua Tauses along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert P. Tauses, Sr. who died June 7, 1979, son, Gregory Tauses who died Sept. 27, 1958, two brothers, Michael and Pat Granater, six sisters, Catherine Kraft, June Delp, Rachel Dressler, Virginia Perry, Evelyn Urban and Rose Marusiak.
There will be no Visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Friday (August 30, 2024) at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, as Celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA
