Jane L. "Janie" Floyd

Jane L. "Janie" Floyd, 78, of Driftwood, PA passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Monday morning (February 5, 2024). She was born February 2, 1946 in New Castle, PA a daughter of the late Braden J. and Ida Dunkerly Walker. On September 21, 1968 in New Castle, PA she married William Floyd, who survives.

Janie graduated from Shenango High School in the class of 1963. She was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed making clothing for her children, grandchildren as well as making pillow cases, clothing for dolls and much more for relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, William she is survived by her step father, P. Edward Ketzel, New Castle, PA ; a son, William D. "Ralph" Floyd, III and his wife Jen, Dutton, MT; daughter, Idalee Simpson and her husband Brent, Hummelstown, PA; son, Kurt Walker Floyd Hummelstown, PA; nine grandchildren: Dakota Jacob Floyd, Kelsey Elizabeth Floyd, Magdalyn Mae Floyd, Millicent Danielle Floyd, Morgan Paige Grubb, EmmaGrace Elizabeth Simpson, Grayson Amzai Simpson, Abram Zebulan Simpson and Everett Ezekiel Simpson and one great granddaughter, Ashley Raine Grubb; brother, Thomas Walker and his wife Linda, New Castle; sister, Suzanne Moss and her husband John, New Castle; sister, Eileen Flick, Lebanon, PA; sister-in-law, Nancy Walker, New Castle; sister-in-law, Ruth Peffer, Ellwood City, PA.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Ted Walker and a brother-in-law, R. Lane Flick and nephew Caleb Flick.

The family will receive friends at God's Country Methodist Church, 26 Turner Street, Austin, PA on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 11:00 AM To 12:00PM followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM with Rev. Todd Lamer, Pastor officiating.
