Cameron County Community Chest 2023 Fund Drive – Nov. Update

Cameron County Community Chest 2023 Fund Drive – Nov. Update

We are 6 weeks into the 2023 fund drive. We have had a great start! Through Nov. 18th, we have collected $10,650.50 toward our goal of $16,600. Thanks to all who have contributed. This drive will run through September 10, 2023.

Watch for our monthly updates. Each month we will feature a write up on one of the organizations that the Cameron County Community Chest contributes to. This month we will feature the Package Team.

A group of Rich Valley Women started the Package Team over 20 years ago. The team currently sends out around 75 to 80 packages (a little piece of Cameron County for Christmas) each year to our local service men, women and reservists. Boxes are filled with snacks, coffee, toiletries, paper, pens, newspapers, playing cards and letters from the kids. Some items are donated by local businesses and churches. Other items are purchased. Postage is the largest cost. If you would like to find out more about the Package Team, get your Service Person on the list, or make a donation to the Package Team, please contact Karin Schatz at (814) 486-0573, Text cell phone at (814) 512-0936 or e-mail at rschatz06@gmail.com.

No donation/memorial is too small. Please send your tax-deductible contribution to: Cameron County Community Chest, PO Box 134, Emporium, PA 15834, Attn: Judd Schager or check out our Facebook Page for the Pay Pal button. Help support the Recreation Board, Community Nurses, Red Cross, Friends of the Library, the Package Team, the Garden Club, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4-H, Sylvan Heritage, SPCA and Special Community Requests.

The Cameron County Community Chest Board of Directors would like to wish everyone a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
