Weekend in the Wilds Lineup in Cameron County

 

Weekend Activity Outline:
 Cameron County's only winery will be open - stop in and enjoy a variety of adult beverages at Rich Valley Wines. 400 East Allegheny Ave, Emporium, PA 15834.

Car Cruise Friday 7pm at Emporium Food Market with DJ Smokin Sounds, Pratt's East End Beverage and Crazy Eyes BBQ

3rd Annual Fireworks at the Caldwell Corp. parking lot
Where: Caldwell Corporation parking lot 116 W 2nd St. in Emporium. No parking in the parking lot. Please walk nearby
When: Friday, July 2nd around 9:30 pm for the smaller ones/9:45 or 10 pm for the bigger ones

If you are in the Southern part of Cameron County, you can also enjoy nearby fireworks.
THE ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS on Wykoff Run at ELM ST. will be held on Saturday night (JULY 3RD. WEATHER PERMITTING). The rain date will be Sunday, July 4TH.
There is a second fireworks show scheduled for Sunday night at Wyckoff Run & Jerry Run Rd.

 Cameron County Echo and Endeavor News each have ads with information about the activities above except the Wyckoff Run & Jerry Run fireworks 

Don't forget Sinnemahoning State Park! One of the beautiful areas of our county.

This holiday weekend, the park staff at Sinnemahoning State Park are offering programs for all ages, including a Creek Critters stream program and Fish of Sinnemahoning bingo game on Saturday, July 3rd, and pontoon boat tours of the lake on both Sunday, July 4th, and Monday July 5th.

Saturday, July 3, 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM. Creek Critters – Explore the habitat of a freshwater stream and learn about the animals that live there. Free family program. Nets and containers provided. All ages welcome. Parents will be asked to assist young children. Dress to get wet. Water shoes recommended. 40 Maples Day Use Area.

Saturday, July 3, 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM. Fish of Sinnemahoning Bingo Game and Campground Movie – Discover interesting gacts about the fish that live in Sinnemahoning’s waters while enjoying a fun game with family and friends. Interactive campground talk followed by 30-minute Eyewitness video, “Pond and River”. All are welcome to attend, even those not camping in the park. Good for all ages. Cancelled if rain. Campground Amphitheater

Saturday, July 3, 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Fish Prints -
Hey kids! Create your very own print of one of Pennsylvania’s native fishes. Paints and rubber fish models provided. Bring along a t-shirt or other article, or use a piece of paper (provided) to print the image of your favorite fish. Free program. No pre-registration required. Wildlife Center Classroom.

Sunday, July 4, all day. Fish For Free Day – Take advantage of the fish-for-free day offered by the PA Fish and Boat Commission; go fishing at Sinnemahoning State Park! No fishing license is required to fish in Pennsylvania inland waters on Sunday, July 4, 2021. Free loaner gear available at the park office.

Sunday, July 4, AND Monday July 5. Pontoon Boat Tours – Join park staff for a relaxing and informative 1-hour tour of the George B. Stevenson Dam reservoir. Program is free but donations requested. Three tours each day. 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM & 12:00 PM. Reservation recommended but not required. Meet at the boat launch area.

Sunday, July 4, 8:30 PM – 9:30 PM. Campground Movie: An Original Duck-umentary – Ducks have life stories filled with personality and charm. Dive into the world of ducks through this PBS Nature video to meet buffleheads, pintails, shovelers, and more. Fun for all ages. Running time 60 minutes. Free program. No pre-registration required. Good for all ages. Open to everyone. Cancelled if rain. Campground Amphitheater

All weekend the Cameron County High School pool is open for swimming. Small fee per day per person. Free swimming is also available at Sizerville State Park in Cameron County.
