Gary Boden was presented the District 7360 “People of Action” award for his commitment to Rotary and the community during the Rotary luncheon meeting June 1st. Inducted into the club in 2013, Gary has been instrumental in the club’s success as a past president and volunteering for all major fundraisers. Gary was also recognized by the club with a Paul Harris Fellow award several years ago. Not only has Gary been an active member of the Emporium Rotary Club, but his community involvement includes: Newton Cemetery Board since 2005, Emporium Foundation Board since 2017, Mee Foundation Board since 2019, First Presbyterian Church Trustee, Deacon and current Elder. Gary also previously served on the Cameron County School Board for 12 years. Gary truly represents a Rotary motto of “Service Above Self”.
