Dear Editor,
We have had many questions about the opening of our local Senior Center. As you can all guess, there have been many rumors as to what or what may not be happening, as far as opening our Center.
Currently, there are 13 Senior Centers in Elk, Cameron and McKean Counties.
A meeting was recently held in Johnsonburg for all centers to discuss the options regarding reopening. There was a huge concern about opening for many of the centers.
Of the 13 centers, currently there are 3 Centers fully opened, 1 serving meals only, 2 with dates to open in the next 2 months and 7 that are still fully closed.
We are Working Hard to put in Place the Criteria needed to open our Center. Just as many of you are anxious to come back to the center, we are also anxious to resume some normalcy as soon as possible. Committed Volunteers are one of the most important factors needed in order to re-open.
So with that thought in mind, you can call the center at 814-486-3707 for more information.
