Mattie Pauline Galford Holsinger, 95, of Pinecrest Manor, 763 Johnsonburg Rd., St. Marys, PA formerly of Emporium, PA died at Pinecrest Manor on Monday morning (June 21, 2021).
She was born January 24, 1926 in Marlinton, West Virginia a daughter of the late Reed and Mary Hamrick Gay. Mrs. Holsinger married her first husband, Dennie Galford, on April 2, 1942. He died January 26, 1976. On January 20, 1978 she married Robert Holsinger who died Nov. 25, 1987.
Mattie worked at Sylvania for 27 years and then at Olivett's Market for 27 years. Mattie was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by a son, Frank R. Galford, Emporium; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands Mattie was preceded in death by
two sons, Douglas Lynn & Stephen Galford; sister, Letta Baker and brother, Sam Gay.
There will be No Visitation. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA
