Affordable First Aid & CPR Certification Training Coming to Barbara Moscato Brown
Memorial Library
Emporium, PA — Community members have a rare opportunity to gain life-saving skills at an
affordable cost this March. The Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library, in partnership with
Northern Pennsylvania Regional College, will host First Aid and CPR Certification Training on
Saturdays, March 21 and March 28, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This class is open to
anyone in the region ages 18 and over.
Thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Cameron County Library, these
certification-level courses—normally $35 per session—are being offered to the community at a
significantly reduced cost, making professional safety training more accessible than ever.
These hands-on sessions will prepare participants to respond confidently in emergencies,
providing critical care until emergency services arrive. Each Saturday will include two
certification opportunities held at the library, located at 27 West 4th Street in Emporium:
CPR & AED Certification | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM - $10 per person
Participants will learn Basic Life Support, how to use an Automated External
Defibrillator (AED), and how to respond to choking emergencies.
First Aid Certification | 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM - $10 per person
Participants will gain practical skills to treat injuries, respond to heart attacks and strokes,
and manage environmental emergencies such as heat, cold, and poisoning.
Whether needed for employment, volunteer work, or personal preparedness, this training offers
valuable, real-world skills that can help save lives.
Space is limited, and advance registration is encouraged.
