Program Title: Monarch Mania
Date: Saturday, August 9 th
Time: 3:00 PM
Location: Environmental Learning Center
Description: Did you know that monarchs can travel up to 2,500 miles during their
migration route? Join the park educator to look for these milkweed butterflies throughout
the park and learn about their great migration! Short talk on monarchs, followed by
going on a butterfly walk – wear sturdy shoes and nets will be provided.

Program Title: Strong & Secretive: Black Bears of PA – Guest Speaker
Date: Saturday, August 2 nd
Time: 8:00 PM
Location: Campground Amphitheater
Description: Join PA Game Commission Black Bear Biologist, Brandon Snavely, for a
presentation on black bear information, research, and management. Brandon will also
be sharing with us what his job consists of and how the PGC is helping the black bear
population.
Feel free to bring snacks and a blanket!
