John Calvin “Jack” Clark, III of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, November 17, 2023, at his residence. He was born on April 8, 1953, in Danville, PA, the son of the late John C. and Louise Durlin Clark.

He graduated from Danville High School in 1971. He attended Keystone College and graduated from Penn State University in 1977 with a degree in Agriculture Business Management. Jack was employed by the USDA as a soil conservationist, working in the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) offices in multiple counties throughout his career, retiring from Snyder County in 2010. He was a member of St. John’s “Vought’s” Lutheran Church Danville PA, where he served as Treasurer for the Church Council for many years. His other memberships included fire companies in the Danville area and the American Legion Post #40. He was also a member of Danville Moose #1133 where he participated in the bowling league with close friends for 49 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening and loved to share the abundance with others. Jack enjoyed spending time with his friends for card playing and fellowship at the Deep Hollow Hunting Club and the Union County Sportsmen’s Club.

As a lifelong Philadelphia Phillies fan and proud Penn State sports fan he enjoyed traveling to games. Another preferred travel destination was Las Vegas where he was one of the first riders of the High Roller. Jack was actively involved in 4-H and FFA throughout his youth. He took over the management of the family farm at a young age. He was an early advocate of no-till farming and took immense pride in the hillside terraces he created. Above all, he cherished his family and his friends and will be deeply missed by them all.

He is survived by his children: daughter, Leslie Jo Warriner and her husband Adam of Millheim, PA, and their children: Emily Louise, Elizabeth Joan, Katherine Helena, William John, and Adam Robert; daughter, Jessica Clark of New York City, NY, and son, Aaron Clark and his wife Katelyn and their son Parker John of Danville, PA.
