John E. Howlett



John E. Howlett, 82, of 154 Steam Mill Rd., Emporium, PA died at his residence, Emporium, PA on Sunday morning (July 18, 2021). He was born June 20, 1939 in Ridgway, PA a son of the late William and Florence Smith Howlett. John married Jeanne Matrone, they were married over 54 years.

John graduated from Cameron County High School and then served with the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired from Penn DOT where he worked for many years and also worked at the Emporium Country Club working on maintaining golf carts. Johns hobbies were antique cars, hunting and his love for his many four legged besties, Dutch, Ace, Fearless and Barney.

In addition to his wife Jeanne Howlett he is survived by a son, Jim (Jill) Howlett, Galena, OH; and a grandson Noah; brother, Guy Howlett, Cameron. He was was preceded in death by his parents, William and Florence Smith Smith and a brother, Eugene Howlett.

There will be No Visitation. Services will be at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in the Grimes Cemetery, Port Allegany, PA
