Library Switching to Curbside Service

Given the recent spike in local COVID cases and the directives set forth by Governor Wolf, the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library has decided to switch to pickup service with limited computer access by appointment beginning Wednesday, December 16, and ending on Friday, January 8.
At that time, the Board and staff will reassess the situation to determine if curbside service needs to continue longer. All materials recently checked out will be automatically extended until after January 8, but patrons can still drop off books and DVDs in the outside dropbox at any time, or in the foyer during the library’s regular hours.

Patrons will be able to continue to check out books through the library’s pick-up service either in the library foyer or they can bring the books out to your vehicles upon request. They will also offer Children’s Holiday Book Bundles for parents to check out. Just call or message the library, let staff know your children’s ages and request a holiday book bundle for them.

Patrons needing to use the computer for job searches, legal or tax business, or the like will be able to access the computers by appointment only. Call the library to schedule an appointment with staff. Computer access will be limited to one hour at a time per patron.

Patrons will also have access to ongoing fundraisers through the library foyer.
There will be donation boxes labeled for the Friends of the Library Gift Basket Raffle and Holiday Book Gifting Program, along with instructions for both, accessible to patrons during the library’s regular hours.

“The library board and staff appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time, and we hope to reopen our doors to our patrons as soon as possible.” Said Librarian Yelena Kisler. “We wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season.”
