Patricia Louise Gore

Patricia Louise Gore, 92, of Clarksburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Manchin Assisted Living in Bridgeport, surrounded by the love and memories of a life beautifully lived.

Patricia was born on July 13, 1934, in Sterling Run, Pennsylvania, a beloved daughter of the late George Harold Kenworthy and Lucy Georgiana Hart Kenworthy. She graduated from Emporium High School and devoted much of her life to caring for her family as a homemaker.

Patricia had a gentle spirit and a wonderful appreciation for the simple joys of life. She enjoyed traveling, walking, and reading, always finding something to look forward to and enjoy. For approximately 30 years, she called Florida home during her retirement, where she loved the warm weather and embraced the many activities and friendships that made her retirement years so special. Those years brought her countless happy memories and treasured friendships that remained close to her heart.

She was a faithful member of Duff Street United Methodist Church, where her faith and fellowship were an important part of her life.

Patricia's greatest joy, however, was her family. She leaves behind her daughter, Julie Lynn Cottrill of Clarksburg; three grandchildren, Kristen Cooley and husband Derek of Clarksburg, Ernie Gore of Orlando, Florida, and Brandy Moore and husband Caleb of Enterprise; and four great-grandchildren, Quinten Cooley, Olivia Gore, Summer Moore, and Wyatt Moore. She is also survived by her brother, James Kenworthy and wife Ellen of New York, along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Franklin D. “Buck” Gore; two sons, Franklin D. “Chip” Gore, Jr. and George Randall “Randy” Gore; and her siblings, Thomas Kenworthy, Virginia Kenworthy, Delores Yeaples, Dorothy Card, and Joyce Breton.

Though Patricia has left this earthly life, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her family finds comfort in knowing that her life was filled with love, family, friendship, and many wonderful memories that will be carried forward for generations to come.

In honoring Patricia’s wishes, cremation services will be observed, followed by a private graveside service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

The family invites friends and loved ones to share memories and condolences online at www.davisfuneralhomewv.com.

Davis Funeral Home is honored to serve the Gore family.
