JOYUFUL NOISE ORGAN FESTIVAL AND RECEPTION
Emmanuel Episcopal Church invites the community to the Joyful Noise
Organ Festival and Reception to be held on Saturday, October 24, at 6 pm. The
concert is a celebration of the new digital Allen Organ installed at Emmanuel
Episcopal Church in July, 2026. This Allen Organ is the most advanced electronic
organ ever built. It is the culmination of decades of advancements in digital
sound and control techniques by Allen Organ Company located near Allentown,
PA. The concert will highlight the organ’s many voices and sounds.
This festival will include a prelude beginning at 5:50 pm played by Carl
Mitchell and Nancy Couchman. It will end with a joyful postlude played by Carl
Mitchell. The festival will include two familiar congregational hymns, and will last
about one hour.
Several musicians will perform some of their favorite musical pieces. The
organists who will play are Mary Gelnett, Judy Sasala, Nancy Couchman and Carl
Mitchell. Lynne O’Leary will perform selections on the church piano.
A reception will follow the concert in the church parish hall and will include
punch, wine, light hors d’oeuvres and desserts. Come and hear the musicians
perform and make a joyful noise on this exceptional instrument.
