Monday Nights Just Got Delicious: Library Cookbook Club is Back Featuring
Dolly Parton Tribute
EMPORIUM, PA — The Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library has officially
announced the return of its beloved Library Cookbook Club following a short hiatus.
The club will resume with a brand-new meeting schedule and a special introductory
selection honoring a musical and cultural icon.
The revitalized Cookbook Club will hold its first meeting on Monday, October 5, 2026,
at 5:30 PM at the library. Moving forward, meetings will transition to this new day and
evening time slot to accommodate more community members.
To kick off this new chapter, the library will feature Good Lookin' Cookin': A Year of
Meals by Dolly Parton and Rachel Parton George. The selection serves as a
meaningful tribute in loving memory of Dolly Parton, bringing community members
together to celebrate her life and legacy through a shared love of comfort foods, sweet
treats, and Southern hospitality.
The Library Cookbook Club is free to join, and no advance registration is required.
How the Cookbook Club Works:
Select a Recipe: Participants can stop by the library to browse the featured
cookbook and choose a recipe they would like to prepare.
Get a Copy: Library staff will provide a free printed copy of the chosen recipe.
Cook and Share: Attendees prepare the dish at home and bring it to the meeting on
October 5th.
Gather and Enjoy: Members gather at the library to taste the various dishes, swap
recipes, and enjoy great company.
Community members of all culinary skill levels are encouraged to dust off their
mixing bowls, preheat their ovens, and join in for an evening of good books, good
food, and good company.
