It's time to start hunting for your summer internship.

Pennsylvania DEP has several paid internships opening up this summer.
Start your applications today, so this summer you could be:
- Assisting mining staff engineers on field investigations.
- Working with Air Quality engineers with the review and approval of permits/plans, and evaluations.
- Shadowing staff in the development of reclamation schemes for abandoned mine lands.
- Supporting with the development and maintenance of GIS applications and geodatabases.
- Assisting biologists in conducting watershed assessments, cause/effect and point of first use surveys, and collection of annual fish tissue samples.
- Reviewing air monitoring results and participating in surface monitoring activities.
- Receiving and analyzing laboratory samples and reporting laboratory data related to environmental testing.
- Assisting Aquatic Biologists in taxonomic identifications of mosquitoes, black flies (gnats), and ticks for the West Nile Virus Control, Black Fly Suppression, and Tick Surveillance and Testing Programs.
- Or learning how to conduct a wide range of comprehensive surveys in order to monitor and assess surface waters across the Commonwealth
