Three Year Community Development Plan Update
The Cameron County Office of Community and Economic Development will hold a public hearing for the purpose of adopting an updated Three Year Community Development Plan as it pertains to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and to elaborate on the proposed uses of 2023 CDBG funds. The public hearing will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the Cameron County Courthouse, immediately prior to the regularly scheduled meeting of the Cameron County Commissioners.
Cameron County will receive $205,998 in 2023 CDBG funds. The Commissioners are proposing the following uses: (1) Administration - $37,079, (2) Cameron County Community Food Pantry building acquisition - $120,000, (3) Slum/Blight Removal - $48,919.
A copy of the Three-Year Community Development Plan will be available for comment and review at the Cameron County Office of Community and Economic Development, 20 E 5th Street, Emporium, PA 15834 between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.
The Commissioners will formally approve the 2023 application at their Thursday, October 5, 2023 meeting at the Cameron County Courthouse. Comments on the proposed uses of the 2023 CDBG funds may be submitted until 9:30am on Thursday, October 5, 2023 to the Cameron County Commissioners, 20 East 5th Street, Emporium, PA 15834 or by email to camcocomm@cameroncountypa.com.
