Cameron County Farmers Market Saturday, August 13

 
Cameron County Farmers Market 

We are very excited for our second farmers market happening this Saturday, 13 August, 9am to 1pm at the Emporium Town Square. We have been hard at work recruiting more vendors and we know you are going to love the talented and creative group of local artisans, growers, bakers and producers that will be joining us this month We listened when you told us you wanted more fresh produce and we are so happy to be able to bring you no less than 6 stalls that will be selling home-grown vegetables! 

Here is the list of vendors you will meet at the market this Saturday: 

 SOUTHERN TIER GARDENS: Local grower, Randy Bailey, will be selling a selection of fresh-picked vegetables from his (and Pam’s) garden. Accepting cash only.

LAURA & THERESA ZOSCHG: This mother and daughter duo will be selling their delicious home-baked breads and rolls, including rye, brown, high-protein and whole wheat varieties. Accepting cash only.

Freeze Dried Emporium: Tasha VanSickles is selling her large selection of freeze-dried treats, from sweet to savoury you will find something here to get your tastebuds flowing! Tasha will be accepting cash and debit/credit card via Square.

Alpaca Creations: ALPACA CREATIONS: Teresa Genaux will be offering her gorgeous hand-knit alpaca apparel, alpaca socks, natural and hand dyed alpaca yarns of different weights, boot inserts, dryer balls and more. She will be accepting cash or credit. Ph. 814-601-0049 for info or special orders.

Karie Zoschg: Karie will be selling the famous home-grown Zoschg corn as well as her collection of essential oils. She will be offering mini workshops with a back-to-school theme where you can make your own oils, including Focus & Calm, Owies & Oopsies and Immune Support. Karie will be accepting cash, check, Venmo or PayPal.

MIKE THOMPSON: Mike is one of our local growers and will be selling a mix of fresh vegetables including ripe and ready to eat tomatoes. Accepting cash only.

Sarah Jane's Art Studio: Sarah is our local artist who will be offering some of her beautiful canvas paintings and popular hand-painted wine glasses for sale. Sarah will be accepting cash and Venmo. Personal checks are acceptable for larger purchases (over $50.00).

D'S QUEEN BEES: Dylan & Ashley Major will be selling their aromatic selection of apiary products including honey, candles, soaps, lip balms and wax melts. They will be accepting cash, PayPal or Venmo.

Purple Dove Keepsakes: Melissa Grimes has a collection of beautifully crocheted, sewn and knitted items ranging from Raggedy Ann dolls and stuffed animals for the kids to shawls, hats and bags for the adults. Accepting cash only.

DAVID ENGLISH: Dave is another one of our talented local growers and will be selling his delicious, garden fresh produce, including tomatoes, onions and summer squash. He will be joining Randy at his table Accepting cash only.

Mountain View Sheep Farm: Bonnie Troemel will be demonstrating her weaving technique on her triangular loom as well as offering a beautiful selection of hand-woven shawls and blankets for sale. Bonnie is accepting cash only.

KACIE BROWN: Kacie will have a selection of home-grown vegetables as well as medicinal plant tinctures and dried herbs and flowers. Accepting cash.

MATT & AMANDA DEMPSEY: Matt and Amanda will be selling their farm-fresh corn. Accepting cash only.

INFORMATION BOOTH: Located in the center of the market, Josh and I will be available to answer any questions. We will also be selling Lindsey’s breads & eggs plus a few of our own garden goodies. There will be chairs and shade for those that need a place to take a break or just want to sit down for a chat! 

The farmers market will be joined by the Cameron County Flea Market, sponsored by Cameron County Mercantile. They will have a variety of stalls selling an eclectic mix of one-of-a-kind retro collectibles, photos of local points of interest, antiques, local artisan creations, unique gifts and more.
 Come and treasure hunt your way through this exciting market, you never know what you’ll find! Hope to see you all there!!
