Denver L. “Denny” Goff

Denver L. Goff “beloved brother and uncle”

Denver L. “Denny” Goff, 71, of Emporium, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022, in UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport, from complications of COVID-19 pneumonia.

Born on Sunday, April 30, 1950 in Bolair, West Virginia, he was a son of Snowden V. and Stella E. Estep Goff.

He was a graduate of Cameron County High School in Emporium. Denny was employed as a machinist at Motor-Coil in Emporium and later was employed as a forester by the Pennsylvania Department of Forestry for many years. Lastly, he was employed for many years in Florida at an amusement park as a ride operator until his retirement. He then moved back to Emporium.

Left to cherish his memory are a sister, Virginia E. Travis of Emporium; two brothers, Charles (Hattie) Goff of St. Marys and Snowden L. Goff of Emporium; two nieces, Paula (Michael Moscato) Travis of Emporium and Margaret (Drew) Mcisaac of Mississippi; three nephews, Timothy (Ellie) Travis of Seoul, South Korea, Michael (June Ann) Travis of Emporium, and Charles Goff of St Marys; his grandnieces and grandnephews, Bethaney, Ava, Addyson, Grayson, Aria, Dawson, Erica, Stella, Dakota, Paige, and Billie Rae, whom he adored, loved and enjoyed spoiling. He had one daughter and three sons.

In addition to his parents, Denny was predeceased by an infant sister, Rhoadie May; a brother, Roy V. Goff; and a brother-in-law, Paul Travis, Sr.

Family and friends are invited to attend Denny’s celebration of life from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the Emporium Alliance Church, 1284 Sizerville Road, Emporium.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Emporium Alliance Church, 1284 Sizerville Road, Emporium, PA 15834 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Denny’s family has entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
