This week at noon, Rotarian Paige Rosenberger presented Erin Solveson, owner of Allegheny Baking Co., as her guest speaker.
Erin always had a passion for baking and in August of 2025 she opened and began her new business. She starts her day in the early hours and continues until she is prepared for the following day. Erin staffs two part time employees one of which is her mother, Cindy. Together they produce, only to name a few, sourdough loaves and honey oat loaves, cookies, muffins and their famous cinnamon rolls, all of which are fresh and sell out immediately. She also has Sausage Cheddar Breakfast Biscuits and Mason's Farm Cornbread Cookies for breakfast. As well as her baked goods, Erin also serves specialty coffees and Hershey hand-dipped ice cream with 7 different flavors to choose from.
She now supplies baked goods to the Diamond Perk in St Marys and another out of town location to be announced soon.
The Allegheny Baking Co. is located on the corner of East Third and Cherry Streets with hours on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8 am to 4 pm and on "Cinnamon Roll" Saturday the hours are 8 am until sold out. You can follow Allegheny Baking Co. on Facebook for any specials she may have. Erin is a delight and a wonderful artist and baker. We wish Erin all the best in her new venture!
