Elk State Forest
The first 1.5 miles of Red Run Road (from the bottom at its' junction with the Mix Run Road) will be closed through the weekend to allow this week's DSA (Driving Surface Aggregate) installation to cure.
DSA is an improved limestone road surface that should provide users of the road a smooth, durable surface for years to come.
Next week, 2 miles of East Cowley Run Road will be closed while contractor's paver place DSA there. If you are in the area, you will notice periodic increased truck traffic on the North end of the Ridge Road between East Cowley and the Austin cutoff.
