Marketing Internship Opportunity
Marketing Intern for the Summer of 2024.
This position would be 35 hours per week, for 12 weeks, spanning the time of May to August @ $11.00 per hour (accounting for the actual summer schedule of the chosen applicant).
This position would prepare, with oversight, a full spectrum of marketing materials.
The intern would need to create monthly marketing campaign proposals that create a cohesive social media and web page plan and present to the Commissioners for approval. Upon approval, they would then implement their approved campaign to meet minimum content posting, creating their content in line with the established Look Up Cameron County brand. They would draft and provide engagement reports to the Board of Commissioners after their campaigns.
Other responsibilities would be designing print marketing materials for summer activities and opportunities, updating the community event calendar on the Look Up Cameron County website, and drafting weekly press releases about summer events, in Cameron County, and Commissioner and Court House Department updates.
This position would also shadow Commissioner Zucal on area promotion and recreation boards that he has remained to fill as a bridge from his Marketing Director position.
