Terrence “Terry” Raymond Carlson, 65, of Cumming, GA, previously of the Newnan/Peachtree City, GA area, died unexpectedly at home on January 15, 2024. Born and raised in Ridgway, PA, Terry was the son of the late Raymond and Blanche (Bokoski) Carlson.
A graduate of Ridgway Area High School and the former Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, now PennWest Edinboro, Terry’s career focused on sales, logistics, and management. He was employed by Menlo Worldwide, Emery Worldwide, CF Air Freight, and eventually UPS (United Parcel Service). He spent his working years providing for his family and travelling the world for business until he retired in 2020.
Those who knew Terry knew he was proud of his two children and son-in-law. He was a loyal Pittsburgh sports fan and rarely missed a game, cheering for the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. Terry will be remembered for his humor, knowledge of sports, undeniable “sweet tooth,” love of watching movies, and his generosity of giving thoughtful gifts to all of those he loved.
Terry was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Carlson; he is survived by his children, Shelby (Pete) Malize of Greensboro, NC and Brice Carlson of Newnan, GA; the mother of his children, Renee Prencipe of Newnan, GA; his sister, Paula Carlson of Ridgway, PA; his loving and caring partner, Rae Densmore of Cumming, GA; and many friends and extended family members.
