PUBLIC INFORMATION:
As we are sure you have all noticed there is no cell phone service in Smethport.
This is due to the tower site being upfitted with new T-Mobile equipment along with Verizon upgrading its infrastructure.
Thought we have not gotten a timetable for return the representative our office spoke to stated it could be up to a “few days”
We will keep everyone posted!
We didn’t know ahead of time that this was taking place. Our officers were caught off guard when none of us had service this morning, so we call Verizon to find out what was going on. We also told them the same thing that we need to be notified ahead of time.
