Thomas E. Hayden, 73, of Emporium, PA passed away at Penn Highlands DuBois, DuBois, PA on Tuesday morning (January 2, 2024). He was born December 5, 1950 in St. Marys, PA a son of the late Edward L. and Marie Shores Hayden.
Tom graduated from Cameron County High School in the class of 1968. He retired from Pro America Premium Tools, where he served as the Emporium plant manager for many years.
Tom loved baseball (playing, coaching, umpiring, and watching), and he golfed as much as he possibly could. He was known for his humor, generosity, kindness, musical ability, dedication and mentorship to the athletes of Cameron County, story-telling, and his love for all things Emporium and Cameron County, Tom will be greatly missed. We are comforted that his faith was strong and that he has, indeed, gone Home.
He is survived by sister, Dianne Chandler (Jim), Mesa AZ, brother, Richard Hayden (Joanie), Hiram GA, sister-in-law, Cindy Hayden, Marietta GA, and sister, Jannie Hayden-Beimel (Jim), Murrysville PA. Tom had one niece and six nephews who will miss him very much: Kirsten Hunter (Chris), Brian Peterson (Stephanie, Silas and Marie), Zack Hayden, Jake Hayden (Megan), Jim Beimel III, Tyler Hayden (Mary), and Nate Beimel.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Hayden.
There will be no visitation. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at the Emporium Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall starting at 1:00-3:00 PM (Please contact Tom’s good friend, Karin Schatz, if you’d like to bring a dish to share - 814-486-0573).
Memorial contributions may be made to either the Emporium or Port Allegany Volunteer Fire Departments or Cameron County Ambulance Services. The members of these organizations should be commended and thanked for the aid they provided when Tom needed it most.

Celebration of Life for Tom Hayden
A lot of Tom’s friends and family have offered to help out in any way they can, so we’ve decided to have a Celebration of Life gathering at the Emporium fire hall on Sunday, January 14th at 1:00.
You can help by bringing a casserole, salad, or dessert to share. We hope you will also bring stories about your friendship with Tom that you’d like to share.
With or without food, please join us in honoring his life.
