CCOYA
The pheasant chicks were recently picked up from the woodland school and taken to their new homes! This year we had 21 classrooms participate in the pheasant program. Out of 500 eggs we had 125 chicks survive. The birds will be raised locally and in the fall be used for our youth pheasant hunt. I would like to thank all of the teachers that were involved and also to our school district for being so supportive with this program. I would also like to thank Scott Rowan of Rowan’s Outback Gamebirds for helping keep this program alive. We are already planning how to improve for next year!!
