Badly Recreated Book Cover Contest

On June 1, the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library kicks off their “Badly Recreated Book Cover Contest” on Facebook.

The library is inviting patrons of all ages to use their imaginations to badly recreate their favorite book covers throughout the month of June and submit them on the library’s Facebook page.

The Facebook post should contain a picture of the original cover as well as your interpretation, with the phrase “Badly Recreated Book Cover” in the text of the post.

“We really want you to have fun with it,” said Librarian, Yelena Kisler. “Use the stuff you have around the house. It doesn’t have to be exact, in fact, we encourage you to think outside the box. Get creative, get wacky.”

The contest runs now through June 30 and participants are allowed to submit multiple entries.

Winners will be chosen at the end of the month in multiple age categories, 0-5, 6-12, 13-18 and Adult. The winners will receive an ice cream voucher to Soft Serve Emporium and a brand new book based on their age/interest.
