Rotary News


Lori Reed (left), Emporium Rotary President hands the gavel over to Christina McFall who will be Club President July 1, 2019- June 30th 2020. Lori thanked all members for an amazing year. The Emporium Rotary Club consists of 59 members doing great things in the community.

Guests attending the meeting were State College Rotarian & West Penn Representative, Joleen Hineman , Mariah Reed, Summer Intern at Cameron County Court House and Rotarian, Rick Custer from Hot Springs Village, AR.

Annual Rotary Picnic tickets are now on sale - $50.00.

Ben Duchess, with First Net Solutions and consultant for AT&T was the guest speaker at the June 16th Rotary luncheon meeting.

First Net Solutions is an operation of the nationwide broadband network that equips first responders to save lives and protect the U. S. community. Ben discussed how the network operates and stated that two AT&T towers will be constructed, one on the Whitcomb property in Driftwood and another in Hicks Run sometime next year after the fiber optics are installed.
