Sinnemahoning Snake Hunt This Weekend

 2019 RATTLESNAKE HUNT

 JUNE 7 ,8, 9, 2019 SINNEMAHONING SPORTSMEN’S CLUB.

Event opens at 2 pm on Friday and 8 am on Saturday and Sunday. 

 There will be vendors, food, beverages, live music and raffles throughout the weekend.

Friday, June 7 (grounds opens at 2 pm)  6 pm: Snake hunters can register at the Snake Pit. Hunting does not start until Saturday morning, June 8.  7 am: Registration will reopen on Saturday, June 8 at the Snake pit.  All hunters must have Valid PA Fishing license and PA Rattlesnake Permit from the PA Fish and Boat Commission with them to register to hunt.
 All hunters must register prior to hunting and get a provisional permit at hunt headquarters.

 Saturday, June 8 Events: (grounds open at 8 am) Questions & Answers sessions ongoing throughout the day.  10 am, 12 noon, 2 pm, & 5 pm: Kid’s Pit – Hands on training for the kids...  1 pm & 4 pm: Elk Seminar conducted by Keystone Elk Country Alliance.  Kid’s games will be held at the stage area between seminars.  Everyone will be able to view the snakes that were captured during the hunt.  5 pm: All snakes must be turned in to be eligible for Saturday’s trophies. This contest will be based on weight of snake.  6 pm: Trophies awarded for snakes turned in Saturday.

Sunday, June 9 Events: (grounds open at 8 am)  Questions & Answers sessions ongoing throughout the day  10 am, 12 noon and 2 pm: Kid’s Pit – Hands on training for the kids.  Everyone will be able to view the snakes that were captured during the hunt.  Kid’s games will be held at the stage area between seminars.  2 pm: All snakes must be turned in.  3 pm: Trophies for snake hunt will be awarded. Cash prizes and raffles will be pulled immediately afterwards

THIS IS A CATCH AND RELEASE EVENT. ALL SNAKES MUST BE RETURNED TO CAPTURE SITE BY SUNSET ON SUNDAY.
